An Impossible Vision

We teach each other that our dreams can come true, and how to achieve them, through innovative artistic, technological, social and literacy programs.

AOTI is an open source social enterprise with a commitment to transparency. Our base of operations is open to the public at 231 Wallace Avenue in Toronto.

Our Vision

Over the years, the directors and faculty of the Academy have consistently been impressed and inspired by the people who join their writing, artistic and cultural/media literacy programs. They have frequently wished for a space in which the work that begins in a two-hour workshop or panel could continue and flourish.

The Academy of the Impossible (AOTI) will be that space.

We recognize the importance of groups that aim to support and empower people who don’t fit into traditional learning institutions and experience barriers to success.

Existing programs and events will be folded into this new educational organization, which will focus on incubating ideas and learning environments, encouraging debate, fostering artistic practices and encouraging the potential inherent in the Internet and knowledge economy.

AOTI will work with people to enhance their leadership, communications and organizing skills, and help foster the next generation of community organizers.
